What are sea shanties?
Sea shanties are a type of work song sung by sailors during the 19th century. The shanties were usually sung to accompany the rhythmical labor aboard aboard merchant sailing ships. Dead Man's Chest is the most familiar shanty. You can make it funny like this one by The Trailor Park Boys or serious like this one from The Pirateers. YouTube lots of sea shanties to give you some ideas for your own.
